A Historic First for Adani Care Foundation: Two Eye Clinics and Service Events in One Year
5th Service Event and second eye clinic held in April

Adani Care Foundation held its 5th Service Event held on April 18 & 19, 2026. We committed to bringing sight, health, dignity, and overall wellness education to the most vulnerable people in the community. Because our 4th Service Event held in Janurary was so successful, the community asked us to host another eye clinic later in the year to accomodate those who could not attend the event in January.
The April event was held at St. Peters Catholic Church, Obeleagu Umana, Enugu State, Nigeria, and invited people from all 9 villages of Obeleagu Umana in Evuazu LGA Enugu State, Nigeria.
Thank you to all who donated financially to make this event happen and to Chief Ani for hosting the event. We are also thankful to Professor Gordon Mendenhall, who provided additional prescription glasses for the entire 9 villages of Obeleagu Umana, Ezeagu LGA, Enugu State, Nigeria. Prof. Mendenahall is a Professor Emeritus at University of Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, and a humanitarian who has dedicated more than 40 years to providing eye care and access to prescription glasses in developing countries.
A total of 210 villagers benefited from your support. They were seen by the Optometry team and received prescription glasses and eye medications in addition to Adani Care's annually-provided health screenings and medication distribution.
During the event:
187 basic eye examinations provided by ophthalmologists and optometrists
Blood pressure and blood sugar checks by dedicated nursing staff
Distribution of free prescription glasses for reading and sorting rice and beans; patients referred to specialists as needed
Medications were prescribed for conditions identified during screening

Looking Ahead: The Clean Water Project
Join us or support our next endeavour to bring clean water to rural communities.
In addition to the services Adani Care has been providing, we look forward to supporting underprivileged communities that are in desperate need of clean drinking water. For many of these communities, what they have now is water that is unsafe for human consumption because it is drawn from streams heavily polluted by things such as human bathing body dirt and laundry detergents.
Adani Care Foundation is now stepping into this space; our ambitious target is to raise $100,000 to provide solar-powered boreholes for access to safe drinking water.
And we cannot do this without your help and corporate sponsorship referrals. Dear friends, we sincerely thank you for your financial support. Please donate once again to this worthy cause.
We are grateful to our members who are recurring donors already. As a reminder we are now officially a US 501c3 Exempt Charitable Organization, meaning your donation is US tax deductible.
Thank you for your generous donation.
God bless you,
Josephine Nneka Jemie
