A Successful Second Service Event

Updated: Aug 3

2024 Service Event:  An Outpouring of the Holy Spirit Video

Adani Care Foundation held its 2nd Service Event on January 3 & 4, 2024 in Chief Aloysius Chijioke Ani’s compound, Umu-Ozo-Ikeakpa, Evuazu, Obeleagu Umana, Enugu State, Nigeria, a great success.

This Second Service Event was made possible by the generous support of Saint Lawrence Catholic Church of Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, through donations by its parishioners at a Cultural Delights Fundraising Event held on Sept 30, 2023.

The Rural Community of Amube-Evuazu, Obeleagu Umana, Enugu State, Nigeria, asked us to please express their deep gratitude to Rev. Fr. Vinny and all the parishioners of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. A total of 419 widows, orphans, the sick, and the elderly (including 185 patients) were impacted by your support.

  • Each day, the Service Event began with a Holy Mass conducted by Reverend Father Christopher Okudo of St Peter’s Catholic Church, Obeleagu Umana.

  • The Event provided Medical Outreach, a Wellness & Healthy Living Workshop, the distribution of 60 bags of 50kg of raw rice, and cooked food and drinks.

  • The medical team of 3 doctors, 2 nurses, and 2 pharmacists devoted the two days to screen, diagnose, and treat for malaria, typhoid fever, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, etc. The patients received medications with follow-up referrals to hospitals and clinics if needed.

  • The Wellness and Healthy Living Workshop was very well received, especially by the elderly learning about improving their diet, in particular, the reduction in intake of sugar, reduction of red meats, and increased intake of organic vegetables and fruits.

3rd Service Event (Dec '24/Jan '25) Goals

In addition to the services Adani Care has been providing, these underprivileged communities are in desperate need of clean drinking water. What they have now is water that is unsafe for human consumption because it is drawn from streams heavily polluted by things such as human bathing body dirt and laundry detergents.

Adani Care Foundation is now stepping into this space; our ambitious target is to raise $81,000 to provide the following:

§  2 boreholes for safe drinking water                                                   $30,000

§  Technical/vocational training for skills acquisition for 4+ students 21,000

§  Medical outreach for 500 patients                                                      5,000

§  Raw food for the most needy                                                             10,000

§  Cash gift for the most needy                                                             15,000

TOTAL                                                                                                     $81,000

And we cannot do this without your help and corporate sponsorship referrals. Dear friends, we sincerely thank you for your financial support. Please donate once again to this worthy cause. If you have not donated before, kindly please consider a one-time or recurring monthly donation here to this life-saving endeavor.

We are grateful to our members who are recurring donors already. As a reminder we are now officially a US 501c3 Exempt Charitable Organization, meaning your donation is US tax deductible. A full financial report of the 2023 year will go out soon.
